	Dr. A.A. Suvorov participated in the Int. Symp. "Atmospheric Radiation-99", organized by the Saint-Petersburg State University, Research Institute of Physics (Saint-Petersburg, Russia). 	New Ph.D. student at the TPL: Mr. S.V. Golovchenko, graduated from the Fundamental Physics and Mathematics Department of the Obninsk Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering, entered the Post-graduate school of the IPPE. Areas of his research are gas dynamics and thermal physics, fission fragments energy deposition and optics of a laser-active elements. Supervisor: Dr. B.V. Kachanov.	05/99
	The report on R&D project management was presented on the Regional scientific conference "Innovation Development: Achievements of Scientists of the Kaluga region for the National Economy" devoted to the Day of Science, which was conducted in Obninsk, Russia. 	Dr. A.P. Barzilov finished business education in Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, successfully defended his thesis and received M.Sc. degree in IT Management and Quality Control. Research work was carried out under the Fellowship of the President of the Russian Federation for the Advanced Training of Managers in the hi-tech area. Thesis: "Management of R&D Projects using Intermediate Results". Supervisors: Dr. Vyacheslav M. Kuprijanov and Prof. Victor P. Rumyantsev. Congratulations !	26/03/99
	Dr. A.V. Gulevich successfully defended his dissertation and received the Doctor of Science status (physics and mathematics) from the State Certifying Commission. 	OINPE students S.V. Golovchenko and A.V. Mamonov successfully defended their thesises and received M.Sc. degrees in Nuclear Science and Engineering.
