GRIF Computer Code
Authors: Andrey V. Gulevich and Oleg F. Kukharchuk
    Programming language: MS Fortran 77
Computer hardware requirements: IBM PC and compatible, 386 or higher, >4Mb RAM
Computer software requirements: MS Windows 3.1 or higher, Win32
Features: Mathematical simulation of neutron kinetics and thermal dynamics of the coupled system "reactor - subcritical assembly"
    Mathematical Model:
Mathematical model includes equations of the modified integral model for simulation of neutron kinetics processes with using Green's function and equations for thermal dynamics (see Ref2 - 3,4,9 and Ref4 - 1,3). Stiff differ equations of this model are numerically solved using original algorithm. The numerical simulation results were compared with experimental data. It was shown that experimental and computed results are in a good agreement.
    General Information:
For neutron kinetics part, maximal number of reactors in the coupled system for input is 10 and maximal number of flux harmonics in every zone is 5. Maximal number of subcritical assembly's zones in input for Green's function is 250. Maximal number of zones for input of thermal dynamics part is 200. The special structure of input file is suitable for user. The GRIF writes all output information to disk files.
