Nuclear Pumped Lasers based on Proton Accelerator

Nuclear Pumped Lasers based on Proton Accelerator (40 kb)     The processes of creation of nuclear-induced plasmas with invertion population are very identical for fast protons and fission fragments in nuclear pumped laser system. However, proton beam experiments are more technically simple and effective than pulse reactor's ones. For proton beam, conditions of excitation of lasing medium (such as specific pump power, laser cell length, time duration of pumping process, etc.) may be easily varied in a wide range.
Using 3 MeV proton beam from accelerator, high-scilled researchers carry out experimental studies including observations of laser generation, small signal gain and saturation intensity measurements, efficiency estimation of nuclear pumped lasers.
