Mock-up for Studies of Electron Spectra (47 kb)     Experimental investigation of distribution functions for electrons created by fission fragments, passing through gaseous and condensed media, is very important for several practical applications such as nuclear pumped lasers. Using time-of-flight techniques, it is possible to measure angular and energy distribution functions for electrons ejected from thin films by fission fragments bombardment. The electron energy range may be estimated from 0.1 eV to 3.5 keV and electron ejection angle - from 5° to 70°. The thin 252Cf layer is used as the fission fragment source. The electron spectrum inside medium may be estimated using theoretical expressions.
Energy distribution functions for electron ejection angle equal to 45° may be investigated in three-dimension experiment for fission fragments of different mass and kinetic energy.
